Information about the RNAO Smoking Cessation Best Practice Champions Network, resources and supports available to Champions, and how you can become involved.

The RNAO Smoking Cessation Best Practice Champions Network now includes over 1000 nurses and other health care professionals across Canada! Champions can take many different roles such as bringing awareness of smoking cessation best practices to their organization, influencing groups and committees to consider these best practices, mobilizing, coordinating, and facilitating the training and development of professional staff in best practice guideline implementation etc.

See below for descriptions of the various resources and supports available to Champions:

  • Educational Teleconferences/Webinars: Sessions are held regularly to support Champions as they work towards integrating smoking cessation best practices into their organizations.
